DALLAS – (October 12, 2025)
Bird Guard Glass has been named the Best of 2025 winner in the Building Materials & Facades: Glass category by The Architect’s Newspaper (AN). Millions of birds collide with architectural glass every year, making bird-safe glazing a critical environmental priority. OBE’s Bird Guard Glass addresses this important need with glass designed to reduce bird collisions in commercial, residential, institutional, and transit applications.
The Architect’s Newspaper annually assesses manufacturers across the built environment, honoring the designs that help create safer, healthier, and more beautiful buildings. Winners are recognized and celebrated in AN’s 11th annual Best of Products awards.
Innovative Bird Guard Glass utilizes first surface laser-enamel printing that does not etch or remove glass, creating a permanent, maintenance-free glazing surface that remains visible to birds while maintaining clear views and superior translucency for building occupants. The printed surface is exceptionally durable and resistant to wear, abrasion, UV radiation, and climatic stress. Its aligned patterns also allow for easier installation in the field.
