Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope, Inc. (OBE), a leading supplier of architectural glass, metal, and hardware, has introduced numerous innovations in 2025. New OBE products and technological advances have gained industry recognition with prestigious awards. The company has also completed groundbreaking projects in 2025, as well as unveiling a revolutionary one-stop-shopping model for new service centers.

Innovative Projects
Among the many projects OBE supported in 2025 was the construction of Legacy Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas. OBE joined numerous organizations in contributing in-kind products, services, and expertise to help build the new facility, replacing Robb Elementary. The new Legacy Elementary campus incorporates a range of OBE products designed to enhance security and improve the safety of building occupants.
Also completed in 2025 was the award-winning renovation of Gund Hall at Harvard University’s Graduate School of Design in Cambridge, Mass. This ambitious project dramatically improved the building’s energy performance while maintaining its distinctive mid-twentieth century aesthetics. The project showcases the power of the collaborative Design-Assist model to identify and develop innovative technical solutions that solve unique problems.
More Convenient Service Centers
In addition, OBE has teamed up with C.R. Laurence Co. (CRL) to revolutionize how glaziers purchase the products they need. Unveiled in 2025, new one-stop-shopping service centers will open in select markets in 2026, giving glaziers fast, convenient access to a complete array of CRL hardware and supplies, OBE glass and US Aluminum and OBE glazing systems, as well as the expertise of staff trained to help glaziers select and successfully install a full range of product solutions.
